Meet Our Founders

Bill Hauptman

Bill has been working in construction since he was 16 years old. He was mentored in construction for years and after college in 1984 he decided to start his own construction firm, Hauptman Builders. Since then, he has developed a recognized knowledge in the construction industry, expanded his business, and mastered AutoCAD Design all which have helped him become a prominent full service design-build contractor.

Bill is extremely hands on, and you will be working with him closely throughout the building process. Bill believes that keeping communication with customers through every step of the building process is integral to customer satisfaction. He works closely with clients, construction teams, project managers, and the office staff to make sure each piece of the project is moving along smoothly and at a comfortable pace.

Trudy Hauptman

Trudy, Bill’s wife, was there in 1984 at the very start of Hauptman Builders. Like Bill, she has also been around the construction industry all her life. Growing up, her father owned a building company where she learned many aspects of the construction industry. When Hauptman Builders started in 1984, she took up the role of office manager, working with payroll, accounting, marketing and much more. They continue to work closely together on many duties and projects to this day.

Carpenters & Project Managers

Randy Thompson - Construction Manager / Master Carpenter

Randy joined the Hauptman Builders team in 2000 and has 30+ years of experience in the construction industry. Randy is a skilled master carpenter and has expertise in all aspects of the construction process. He works closely with Bill Hauptman and now as the production manager he supervises production, project managers, and oversees projects from start to finish. Randy will work closely with each client throughout the construction process.

Larry Hammer - Project manager/Lead Carpenter

Larry has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. Before joining Hauptman Builders in 2009, Larry owned and operated his own home improvement company. Since coming to Hauptman Builders, Larry works on site as a project manager and lead carpenter and helps to oversee all aspects of the construction process.

Ron Hannan - Project Manager/Master Carpenter

Ron joined the Hauptman Builders team in 2013 and has 30+ years of experience in the construction industry. Ron is a skilled carpenter and has knowledge and expertise in all aspects of the construction process. He works closely with Bill & Randy as an onsite project manager, supervises projects, and shares his knowledge with the HB team mentoring future carpenters and project managers. Ron prides himself in his communication skills and will help our clients from start to finish.

Sean Stuff - Carpenter/Operator

Sean joined us in 2018 and is a true “jack of all trades.” His skill set is universal, he can handle all types of construction, and he has become an excellent carpenter. Sean also is a skilled operator on all types of equipment. He is an invaluable addition to our team and is heavily relied upon. He is another Hauptman Builder friendly face you will see and talk to daily.

Justin Stub - Project Manager/Master Carpenter

After a highly reputable local builder retired, we were fortunate to have Justin join our team in 2015. Justin is an exceptional skilled carpenter and specializes in cabinetry and trim work. He has a great overall knowledge of residential construction. He also has a great eye and works closely with our clients with choices in the field. Justin has a meticulous attention to detail and the desire to serve our clients to the fullest.

Eric Cover- Carpenter

Eric first started as a helper when he joined us in 2017. Since then, he has become an excellent carpenter and very important asset to the Hauptman Builders team. Eric has true knowledge when it comes to working in the field and is very important to our crew on all the jobs sites. Eric is the friendly face you will see and talk to every day.

John Hauptman - Carpenter/Operator

John began working for Hauptman Builders in 2013 and has become an essential part of the construction team. He helps manage projects, helps supervise, is a skilled carpenter performing all facets of carpentry and construction work. He is also a highly skilled operator on all types of heavy equipment and is the HB go to guy for our operator needs.

Office Staff

Jeanie Cortesini

Starting at Hauptman Builders in 1993, Jeanie is an invaluable part of our team. She assists in almost all aspects of work in the office. In her time working for Hauptman Builders, she has proved herself as an indispensable asset to the company and Bill and Trudy.

Leanne Hauptman

Daughter of Bill & Trudy, Leanne oversees our social media and advertising. Leanne is currently working part time for Hauptman Builders while attending Florida Atlantic University working on her PhD in Geosciences.

Stacey Turskey – Design & Product Specialist

Stacey has been assisting Hauptman Builders for many years as a design personal assistant. Stacey has exceptional experience and knowledge of construction products, a fantastic eye, and is a truly amazing design specialist. Stacey is a great option for our clients and becomes an integral part of our Hauptman Builders team for projects that customers choose to use her services. She will work with you one-on-one to bring your vision to life and will help you find your style. Stacey meets with our clients personally and holds their hand every step of the way.
